| Issues manually installing updates by double-clicking the .msu file After installing the SHA-2 update (KB4474419) released on September 10, 2019, you may encounter issues manually installing updates by double-clicking on the .msu file and may receive the error, 'Installer encountered an error: 0x80073afc. The resource loader failed to find MUI file.' Affected platforms:
Workaround: Open a command prompt and use the following command (replacing <msu location> with the actual location and filename of the update): wusa.exe <msu location> /quiet Resolution: This issue is resolved in KB4474419 released September 23, 2019. Currently, this version is only available from the Microsoft Update Catalog. To resolve this issue, you will need to manually download the package and use the workaround above to install it. Next steps: We estimate a solution will be available in mid-October on Windows Update and Windows Server Update Services (WSUS). This Release Notes document describes known issues that you should read about before you install or troubleshoot Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 2. This Release Notes document applies to all editions of SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2 and is available online only. It is updated periodically.
1.0 What's New in Service Pack 2
Added the dynamic management view (DMV) sys.dm_db_stats_properties. Downloader for pc. You can use this DMV to return statistics properties for a specified table or indexed view in the current database. For example, this DMV returns the number of rows that were sampled and the number of steps in the histogram.
2.0 Before You Install

Windows 10 pro full version purchase. But if you like a feature in one of those other versions that did not carry over into the new version, you are out of luck.

2.2 Setup Might Fail if SQAGTRES.dll Is Locked by Another Process
Issue: A SQL Server setup operation might fail with this error: Upgrading of cluster resource C:Program FilesMicrosoft SQL ServerMSSQL10_50.<Instance name>MSSQLBinnSQAGTRES.DLL on machine <Computer name> failed with Win32Exception. Please look at inner exception for details. The root cause is that C:Windowssystem32SQAGTRES.DLL is locked by another process and Setup was not able to update it.
Workaround: Rename C:Windowssystem32SQAGTRES.DLL to a temporary name such as C:Windowssystem32SQAGTRES_old.DLL, and then select the Retry option on the setup error message. That will allow Setup to continue. After a reboot, you can delete the temporary file C:Windowssystem32SQAGTRES_old.DLL.
